Instructions
1. Prepare the dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
Add softened butter, egg, and salt, then gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough forms.
Knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
2. Make the caramel topping
In a small saucepan, melt the butter with brown sugar and heavy cream. Stir until smooth and bubbly.
Pour the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking pan. Sprinkle nuts evenly if using.

3. Shape the rolls
Punch down the risen dough and roll it into a rectangle.
Brush with melted butter, sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly.
Roll it up tightly from the long side and cut into 12 even slices.
4. Assemble
Place each roll on top of the caramel mixture in the pan, cut side up.
Cover and let rise for another 30–40 minutes until puffy.
5. Bake
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then carefully invert onto a serving tray so the caramel is on top.
Serving Suggestion
Serve warm with a cup of coffee or a glass of cold milk. The gooey caramel and soft dough make every bite unforgettable — just like the ones we used to enjoy as k
