Seeded Banana Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- For the Banana Bread:
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- For the Seed Mix:
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
- 2 tablespoons flax seeds
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Oven and Pan:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan and set aside.

- In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
- Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in.
- Add the all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour, mix until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
3. Add Seeds:
- Fold in half of the mixed seeds into the batter to distribute them evenly.
4. Prepare for Baking:
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle the remaining seeds on top of the batter.
5. Bake:
- Place in the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Cooling:
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
