Shrimp and Broccoli Stir-Fry Recipe
Ingredients:
- 500g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 500g broccoli, cut into florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional for sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare Ingredients:
- Rinse the shrimp and pat dry. Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for about 2 minutes, then plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process and retain the bright green color.
- Cook Shrimp:
- Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté Aromatics:
- Add the remaining oil to the skillet. Add garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Combine Ingredients:
- Return the shrimp to the skillet along with the broccoli. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey (if using), and sesame oil. Cook, stirring frequently, until the broccoli is heated through and the sauce is bubbly and thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Season and Serve:
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
Conclusion:
This shrimp and broccoli stir-fry is a quick and healthy option for a weeknight dinner, full of flavor and packed with nutrients. It’s best served over rice or noodles for a complete meal
