Introduction
A simple classic dish, Stuffed Potatoes consists of mashed potatoes dipped in a creamy sauce and fried until golden brown. Ingredients
• Potatoes: 4 large red potatoes, peeled and finely chopped
• Oil: 3 tablespoons
• Garlic: 2 cloves, finely chopped
• Flour: 3 tablespoons
• Milk: 2 cups (all the milk is required for greasing) )
• Heavy oil: 1 glass for extra richness
• Salt: 1 teaspoon
• Black pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
• Hazelnuts: Grated hazelnuts (optional)
• Cheddar cheese: 1 glass, grated (Gruyère you can also use it for a more delicious taste)
• Onion: 1 medium size, finely chopped (optional)

InstructionsStep 1: Preheat the oven and prepare the ingredients
1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 200°C.
2. Preparation of potatoes and onions: Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces, 1/8 lengthwise. If you are using onion, chop it finely.
Step 2: Prepare the sauce
1. Melt the butter: Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the flour: Sprinkle the flour over the oil and garlic and stir until a smooth roux forms. Cook for about 2 minutes to remove the taste of the flour.
3. Pour in the milk and cream: Slowly add the milk and whipped cream, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it thicken slightly for about 4-5 minutes.
4. Season: add salt, pepper and nutmeg. Adjust the spices to your taste.
Step 3: Assemble the bowl
1. Potatoes and onions: Place half the potato wedges on a baking tray and cover lightly. If using onions, sprinkle half of them over the first layer of potatoes. Pour half the cream sauce over the first layer and then pour half the cheese.
2. Repeat layers: Repeat with remaining potatoes, onion (if using), sauce, and cheese.
Step 4: Cooking
1. Cover and bake: Cover the bowl with aluminum foil and bake in the hot oven for 30 minutes.
