Rich Chocolate Fudge Brownies
Ingredients:
For the Brownies:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
For the Chocolate Ganache:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Topping:
- Chocolate curls or shavings
Instructions:
- Prepare the Brownies:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract, and whisk until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Do not overbake.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
- Prepare the Chocolate Ganache:
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Allow the ganache to cool slightly until it thickens to a spreadable consistency.
- Assemble the Brownies:
- Once the brownies are completely cooled, pour the ganache over the top, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Let the ganache set for a few minutes, then sprinkle with chocolate curls or shavings.
- Serve:
- Cut the brownies into squares and serve.
These rich chocolate fudge brownies with a smooth ganache topping are perfect for satisfying your chocolate cravings. Enjoy!
