Mini Glazed Pies

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets of ready-made pie dough or puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten for glazing
  • Sweet Filling Options:
    • Fruit jam (strawberry, apricot, raspberry)
    • Lemon curd
    • Almond paste
  • Savory Filling Options:
    • Cheese (cheddar, goat cheese)
    • Cooked meats (chicken, beef, ham)
    • Vegetables (spinach, mushrooms)

Instructions:

  1. Preparation:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Prepare the Pies:
    • Roll out the dough and cut into rounds slightly larger than the muffin cups.
    • Press the dough rounds into the muffin cups. Fill each with your choice of sweet or savory filling.
    • Brush the edges of the dough with the beaten egg.
  3. Bake the Pies:
    • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the pies are golden and crisp.
    • Let them cool slightly before removing from the tin. Serve warm or at room temperature.
