Ingredients:
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup cooked ground sausage or diced ham
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
Equipment:
- Oven-safe skillet (preferably non-stick or cast iron)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
- Prepare the Ingredients: Beat the eggs and milk together in a bowl. Add salt and pepper. Stir in the cheese.
- Cook the Vegetables and Meat: Heat the olive oil or butter in the skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and bell peppers, sautéing until they are soft, about 5 minutes. Add the cooked sausage or ham and cook for another 2 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Combine and Cook: Pour the egg mixture into the skillet over the cooked vegetables and meat. Stir gently to distribute the ingredients evenly. Cook without stirring for about 5 minutes, or until the edges begin to set.
- Bake the Frittata: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the frittata is fully set and golden on top.
- Serving: Let the frittata cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
