Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450 g) macaroni pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound (450 g) ground beef or shredded cooked beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups (480 ml) heavy cream
  • 2 cups (200 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup (60 g) breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Cook the macaroni pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Beef:
    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
    • Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
    • Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. If using shredded cooked beef, add it here and heat through.

  5. Prepare the Topping:
    • In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the pasta mixture.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy.
