Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks
Ingredients:
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
- Marinara sauce (for dipping, optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Prepare the dough:
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick. Transfer the rolled-out dough to the prepared baking sheet.
- Make the garlic butter:
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush the garlic butter evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Add the cheese:
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese. Season with a little salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake:
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown on the edges.
- Slice and serve:
- Remove the cheesy breadsticks from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to slice the bread into sticks or squares.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.
- Serve with dipping sauce:
- Serve the cheesy breadsticks warm, with a side of marinara sauce for dipping if you like.
