Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Bread
Ingredients:
- 1 large loaf of French bread or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare the Bread:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Using a serrated knife, make diagonal cuts in the bread, about 1 inch apart, without cutting all the way through the bottom crust. Rotate the bread and make diagonal cuts in the opposite direction, creating a crosshatch pattern.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter:
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Stuff the Bread:
- Carefully open the cuts in the bread and drizzle the garlic butter mixture into each cut, making sure to get it deep into the crevices.
- Stuff the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese into the cuts, distributing it as evenly as possible.
- Bake:
- Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Remove the bread from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and chives.
- Serve immediately, pulling apart the bread pieces to enjoy the cheesy, garlicky goodness.
Enjoy your delicious and flavorful cheesy garlic pull-apart bread!
