Cherry Chocolate Chip Cream Dessert

 

Ingredients:

  • Crust:
    • 2 cups crushed chocolate cookies or graham crackers
    • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Cream Filling:
    • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 cups whipped cream
    • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • Cherry Topping:
    • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling or fresh cherries if available
    • 1 cup whipped cream
    • Chocolate shavings or chips for garnish
    • Fresh cherries for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Crust:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine crushed chocolate cookies or graham crackers with melted butter.
    • Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
  2. Prepare the Cream Filling:
    • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
    • Fold in the whipped cream until well combined.
    • Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
    • Spread the cream filling evenly over the chilled crust.
  3. Add the Cherry Topping:
    • If using cherry pie filling, spread it evenly over the cream filling.
    • If using fresh cherries, pit and halve them, then arrange them over the cream filling.
  4. Top with Whipped Cream:
    • Spread the whipped cream over the cherry layer.
    • Garnish with chocolate shavings or chips.
  5. Add Fresh Cherries:
    • Decorate the top with fresh cherries for an extra touch of elegance.
  6. Chill the Dessert:
    • Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours or until set.
  7. Serve:
    • Cut into squares and serve chilled.
