Classic Banana Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix Wet Ingredients:
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork or potato masher until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter, granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add Dry Ingredients:
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the banana mixture and stir to combine.
- Gradually add the flour, stirring until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
- Bake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- If the top of the loaf starts to brown too quickly, you can tent it loosely with aluminum foil halfway through baking.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, slice and serve. Enjoy your moist and delicious classic banana bread!
