Creamy Chicken and Broccoli Casserole
Ingredients:
- 4 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Prepare the Broccoli:
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are just tender. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Creamy Sauce:
- In a large bowl, combine the condensed cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Assemble the Casserole:
- Spread the shredded chicken evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Layer the broccoli florets over the chicken.
- Pour the creamy sauce mixture over the broccoli and chicken, spreading it out evenly.
- Add the Cheese and Breadcrumbs:
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
- In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the melted butter. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the cheese layer.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Serve:
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
