Creamy Peanut Dessert with Crumb Topping Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Creamy Peanut Layer:
    • 2 cups whole milk
    • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
    • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Crumb Topping:
    • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs (or crushed digestive biscuits)
    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Creamy Peanut Layer:
    • In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
    • Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
    • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Crumb Topping:
    • In a small bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and brown sugar. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated with the butter.
  3. Assemble the Dessert:
    • Spoon the creamy peanut mixture into individual serving cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
    • Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over each cup, creating a generous layer on top of the peanut mixture.
  4. Chill:
    • Cover the cups with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully chilled and set.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the creamy peanut dessert chilled. Optionally, you can garnish with additional crushed peanuts or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.

Enjoy your delicious and creamy peanut dessert with a crumb topping!
