Creamy Tuscan Shrimp Recipe

 

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Shrimp:
    • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
    • Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2 minutes on each side until they are pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt.
    • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Add the cherry tomatoes and cook until they start to soften, about 3 minutes.
  3. Make it Creamy:
    • Reduce the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine.
    • Add the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
    • Add the spinach and cook until wilted.
  4. Combine:
    • Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss them in the creamy sauce until well coated.
    • Season with additional salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
    • Serve the creamy Tuscan shrimp over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread for a complete meal.
