Fluffy Pancakes Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dry Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Prepare the Wet Ingredients:
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract (if using).
- Combine the Ingredients:
- Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients.
- Stir until just combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy; do not overmix.
- Cook the Pancakes:
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Pour or scoop about 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes.
- Flip with a spatula and cook until browned on the other side, another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve:
- Serve hot with fresh strawberries and a small bowl of chocolate spread or your favorite toppings like maple syrup, butter, or whipped cream.
