Fried Chicken Drumsticks with Vegetable Fried Rice Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Fried Chicken Drumsticks:
- 8-10 chicken drumsticks
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Vegetable Fried Rice:
- 3 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Marinate the Chicken:
- Place the chicken drumsticks in a large bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Prepare the Fried Chicken:
- In a large shallow dish, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Remove the chicken drumsticks from the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off. Dredge each drumstick in the flour mixture, coating it thoroughly.

- Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil. Stir well to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
