Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream with Fudge Sauce

Ingredients:
For the Ice Cream:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
For the Cookie Dough:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
For the Fudge Sauce:
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Make the Cookie Dough:
- In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Mix in the milk and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until combined.
- Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
- Roll the dough into small balls (about 1/2 inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Freeze the cookie dough balls until firm, about 1-2 hours.
2. Make the Ice Cream:

- In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- During the last 5 minutes of churning, add the mini chocolate chips.
- Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container, gently folding in the frozen cookie dough balls.
- Freeze the ice cream for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
3. Make the Fudge Sauce:
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, light corn syrup, brown sugar, and unsweetened cocoa powder.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring frequently.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Allow the fudge sauce to cool slightly before serving.
4. Serve:
- Scoop the homemade chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream into bowls.
- Drizzle with warm fudge sauce.
- Garnish with additional mini chocolate chips or cookie crumbs, if desired.
