Layered Mango and Strawberry Smoothie
Ingredients:
- For the Mango Layer:
- 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup mango juice or orange juice
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (optional for creaminess)
- 1-2 tablespoons honey (optional for sweetness)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- For the Strawberry Layer:
- 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1 cup apple juice or any berry juice
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (optional for creaminess)
- 1-2 tablespoons honey (optional for sweetness)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- Garnish:
- Fresh mango slices
- Fresh mint leaves
Instructions:
- Prepare the Mango Layer:
- In a blender, combine the chopped mangoes, mango juice (or orange juice), Greek yogurt (if using), honey, and ice cubes.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the mango mixture into a pitcher and set aside.
- Prepare the Strawberry Layer:
- Rinse out the blender.
- Combine the strawberries, apple juice (or berry juice), Greek yogurt (if using), honey, and ice cubes.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Layer the Smoothie:
- In a tall glass, pour a layer of the mango smoothie.
- Gently pour a layer of the strawberry smoothie over the back of a spoon to create a distinct layer.
- Continue alternating layers until the glass is full.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Top the smoothie with fresh mango slices and a sprig of mint.
- Serve immediately with a straw and a spoon to enjoy the beautiful layers.
