Mini Glazed Pies
Ingredients:
- 2 sheets of ready-made pie dough or puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten for glazing
- Sweet Filling Options:
- Fruit jam (strawberry, apricot, raspberry)
- Lemon curd
- Almond paste
- Savory Filling Options:
- Cheese (cheddar, goat cheese)
- Cooked meats (chicken, beef, ham)
- Vegetables (spinach, mushrooms)
Instructions:
- Preparation:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin with butter or non-stick spray.
- Prepare the Pies:
- Roll out the dough and cut into rounds slightly larger than the muffin cups.
- Press the dough rounds into the muffin cups. Fill each with your choice of sweet or savory filling.
- Brush the edges of the dough with the beaten egg.
- Bake the Pies:
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the pies are golden and crisp.
- Let them cool slightly before removing from the tin. Serve warm or at room temperature.
