Orange Crumb and Cream Terrine Dessert
Ingredients:
- For the Orange Crumb:
- 1 cup crushed orange-flavored cookies (like orange Milano cookies)
 - 2 tablespoons melted butter
 
 - For the Cream Base:
- 2 cups heavy cream
 - 1/2 cup sugar
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 2 teaspoons gelatin, dissolved in 3 tablespoons warm water
 
 
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Cream Base:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
 - Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and dissolved gelatin until well mixed.
 - Pour the mixture into a semi-circular mold or a similar shaped dish that has been lightly greased with some butter or non-stick spray. Refrigerate until it starts to set, about 1 hour.
 
2. Make the Orange Crumb:
- In a bowl, mix the crushed cookies with melted butter until the mixture resembles coarse sand.
 - Once the cream base has started to firm up, gently sprinkle the orange crumb mixture over the top, pressing lightly to ensure it sticks.
 
3. Chill:

- Return the dessert to the refrigerator and let it set completely, ideally overnight.
 
4. Serve:
- To serve, carefully invert the dish onto a serving plate. If the terrine doesn’t release easily, briefly dip the outside of the mold in warm water.
 - Slice with a warm, sharp knife and serve immediately.
 
This dessert combines the zesty flavor of orange with the lush smoothness of cream, making it a delightful end to any meal.
