Pan-Seared Chicken Breasts
Ingredients:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions:

Prepare the Chicken
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and oregano.

Heat the Pan
- Place a pan over medium-high heat and add the olive oil or butter.
- Let it heat for about 1-2 minutes until shimmering.

Cook the Chicken
- Place the chicken breasts in the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes on one side without moving them.
- Flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes on the other side.

Check for Doneness
- Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature—it should be at least 165°F (75°C).
- If needed, cover the pan and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
