PEACE & CRAM CHEESE LOAF
When it comes to baking, this quick bread has to be one of the tastiest and easiest breads on the market. Perfect for breakfast or dessert, it doesn’t matter. One of our favorite things we did was add *cream cheese* to the dough, giving it a very moist and rich texture. We had not tried the Peach and Cream Cheese Loaf and felt it needed correction.
Ingredients:
8 oz cream cheese (1 package), soft
½ cup butter, 1 stick
1 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tea spoon cinnamon (optional)
1 cup milk
15-ounce can chopped peas, dried and grated
How to make peas and cream bread:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 F and brush with plain breadcrumbs.
2. Mix the cheese and butter in a large bowl. Add the sugar, eggs and lemon zest and beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.
3. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in a small bowl. After mixing well, slowly add the dry ingredients and milk to the wet ingredients and mix by adding the peas.
4. Place shells in prepared pan and bake for 50-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out loose.
5. Let the bread cool before cutting.
