SLOPPY JOES WITH FILLY CHEESE
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons butter
1 small yellow onion
1 green onion
8 ounces sliced mushrooms
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 cup ground beef
8 ounces shredded Provolone cheese (use 6 oz if you don’t want too much cheese)
6 brioche hamburger buns
How to Make Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes
Add ground beef to a large cast iron skillet (it will be very brown) and fry until a brown crust forms before shredding the beef.
Use ground and blue meat until a deep crust forms on about 50 percent of the beef.
Remove the meat (you can leave the fat) and add the fat, onion, apple and mushrooms.
Let it brown for 1-2 minutes before mixing, then let it brown for another 1-2 minutes before mixing again.
Add the beef to the pan.
Mix beef and corn in a small bowl.
Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and beef and corn mixture to the pan.
Cook for 3-5 minutes until the mixture becomes slightly liquid (about 75% of the mixture is water).
Turn off the heat, add the protolon cheese. Served on
Brioche buns.
