Spinach and Bacon Puff Pastry Tarts
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled 🥓
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped 🥬
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 🧀
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 egg, beaten 🥚
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 🧄
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt 🧂
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano 🌿
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the filling: In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté spinach until wilted. Let cool slightly.
- Mix cheeses: In a bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir in the sautéed spinach and crumbled bacon.
- Cut the pastry: Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 4-6 squares. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Assemble the tarts: Spoon the spinach-bacon mixture onto the center of each pastry square. Fold the edges slightly inward to form a rustic border.
- Brush with egg wash: Lightly brush the edges with beaten egg for a golden finish. Sprinkle with dried oregano.
- Bake: Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
