Steak Alfredo Pasta Recipe
Ingredients:
- For the Steak:
- 2 ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- For the Alfredo Sauce:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- For the Pasta:
- 12 ounces fettuccine or linguine
- Salt for the pasta water
- For Garnish:
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Prepare the Steak:
- Season the steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add the steaks to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic and butter to the skillet, basting the steaks with the melted butter and garlic.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the fettuccine or linguine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta water, and set aside.
- Prepare the Alfredo Sauce:
- In the same skillet used for the steaks, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg (if using) to taste.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
- Combine the Pasta and Sauce:
- Add the cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly.
- If needed, add more pasta water to loosen the sauce.
- Serve:
- Slice the rested steaks into thin strips.
- Serve the Alfredo pasta on plates, topped with the sliced steak.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and additional grated Parmesan cheese.
Enjoy your delicious Steak Alfredo Pasta, a rich and satisfying meal that combines tender, flavorful steak with creamy, cheesy pasta. Perfect for a special dinner or any time you crave a comforting, indulgent dish.
