The best lemon bars are very tasty

Ingredients:

1 cup softened butter
½ cup white sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
4 eggs
1 ½ cups white sugar
¼ cup all-purpose flour
2 lemons, juiced

How To make lemon bars:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, two cups of flour, and half a cup of sugar. Press into the back of an ungreased 9×13-inch pan.
Step 3: Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until firm and golden brown. In another bowl, combine the last 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of flour.Add eggs and lemon juice. Pour over the baked base.

Step 4: Bake in the preheated oven for another 20 minutes. The bars will come together as they cool. For a festive tray, prepare an alternating pan of limes instead of lemons and add a drop of food coloring to give it a very faded green.After each pan has cooled, cut them into even 2-inch squares and prepare them in a checkerboard pattern.
