Introduction

Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

For the glaze:

  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped pecans for decoration

Preparation

First, preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a Bundt cake pan well so the cake does not stick.

In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until the mixture becomes light and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each egg. Add the vanilla extract.

In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture little by little, alternating with the milk. Mix gently until the batter becomes smooth.

Fold in the chopped pecans or walnuts. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn it onto a cake stand and allow it to cool completely.

To make the glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Pour the glaze over the cooled cake and let it drip down the sides. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.

Presentation

Serve the cake in thick slices with tea, coffee, milk, or fresh juice. It can also be served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
