Avocado Banana Pistachio Smoothie Recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/4 cup pistachios, shelled
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup milk (or any milk substitute)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for a colder smoothie)
  • Whipped cream (for garnish, optional)
  • Additional pistachios for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Peel the banana and cut it into chunks.
    • Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh.
  2. Blend the Smoothie:
    • In a blender, combine the banana chunks, avocado flesh, pistachios, Greek yogurt, milk, and honey or maple syrup if using.
    • Blend until smooth and creamy. If you prefer a colder smoothie, add a few ice cubes and blend again until smooth.
  3. Serve:
    • Pour the smoothie into glasses.
    • Garnish with whipped cream and additional crushed pistachios if desired.
