Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (dark or milk, based on preference)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional, depending on the sweetness of the mangoes)
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin (optional, for a firmer texture)
  • 1/4 cup cold water (for dissolving gelatin, if using)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mango Puree:
    • Blend the diced mangoes in a blender or food processor until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, you can leave some small mango pieces in the puree.
  2. Whip the Cream:
    • In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. You can use an electric mixer for faster results.
  3. Sweeten and Flavor:
    • Gently fold in the condensed milk, vanilla extract, and sugar (if using) into the whipped cream. Mix until well combined.
  4. Incorporate the Mango Puree:
    • Gently fold the mango puree into the cream mixture until it is well incorporated and you have a smooth, creamy consistency.
  5. Add Chocolate Chips:
    • Stir in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  6. Gelatin Option (for a firmer dessert):
    • If you prefer a firmer texture, dissolve the gelatin in cold water and let it sit for a few minutes to bloom. Then, gently heat it until fully dissolved. Allow it to cool slightly before folding it into the mango and cream mixture.
  7. Chill the Dessert:
    • Pour the mixture into serving glasses or bowls. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until set and chilled.
  8. Serve:
    • Serve the dessert chilled, directly from the refrigerator. It can be garnished with extra chocolate chips, mango slices, or a sprig of mint for added presentation.
