Do I really need special bread?
You don’t need a lot of fancy ingredients for this dish. Plain or crumbled bread usually works well. I often use crushed Ritz crackers for this butter bar. The key is to coat the chicken well so it gets ultra crispy in the oven. As long as you gently dip the chicken into the egg and bread you will get a lid.
What if my chicken breasts are big?
I use 150 grams of chicken fillet for this recipe. If your chicken breasts are very thick, you may need to increase the cooking time. An instant-read thermometer helps keep temperatures under control. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 60°C. For large chicken breasts, I recommend cutting them in half horizontally to check for doneness.
Can I change the taste?
Absolutely! This butter chicken nachos recipe can be modified a lot. Try seasoning the tortillas with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, paprika or mixed herbs like lemon zest or Cajun seasoning. You can also use a healthy oil like garlic oil for more flavor. Get creative with herbs and add your own style to this chicken.
What parts would go well with this Chicken?
Buttery crispy chicken calls for a rich and sweet side. Some of my favorites are baked potatoes, macaroni and cheese, roasted vegetables, and French fries. A simple salad like Caesar salad with spinach or kale also balances the meal nicely. Don’t skip dessert: This chicken goes great with ice cream.
