Fantastic formula! Saw a neighbor bring this to a square party, and everybody went bonkers for it!

Ingredients:

 

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 huge sweet onions, daintily sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon thyme (new or dried)

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1/2 glass dry white wine

2 glasses hamburger broth

1 container chicken broth

6 cuts day-old French bread or baguette, toasted

1 1/2 glasses ground Gruyère cheese

1/2 container ground Parmesan cheese

1/4 glass new parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cooking spray

Directions:

 

Preheat the stove to 400°F (200°C). Shower a 9×13 inch preparing dish with cooking spray.

Melt butter in a huge container over medium warm.Include onions and cook until delicate, sweet, and brilliant brown (approximately 15 minutes). Include garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme; cook for 1 more minute.
