FRUIT SALAD
Cold fruit salad is now a thing of the past. This classic recipe is a cool and delicious way to eat your fruit. It hosts any holiday meal but also makes a beautiful side dish!
This classic recipe comes straight from my grandmother’s box. A fun version of marshmallow fruit salad, but even more fun because it’s cold!
Perfect for the holidays or as summer comfort food. Cold fruit salad can also be a simple dessert.
This recipe is still a staple on my family’s holidays. Aunt Jenny usually makes this now and it’s available every Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Ingredients
8 ounces cottage cheese, softened
2 cups heavy cream, plus extra for serving
1 quart Strawberries, peeled
2 large bananas, sliced and diced
20 ounces crushed pineapple, drained
Instructions Ho Frozen fruit make salad
STEP ONE:
Mix cream cheese and strawberries in a mixing bowl
Fold in crushed pineapple and sliced or sliced bananas and drizzle over cream mixture
STEP TWO:
Divide evenly into 9 × 13 baking sheets STEP THREE: Dessert put it in the refrigerator until it hardens.
When you’re ready to serve, let it sit on the counter for 10 minutes. Dip the knife into hot water and cut the cooled dessert into slices.
