There’s nothing like the taste of Southern spring. With the arrival of the warmer months, farm stands fill with steamed, fragrant peas, pies and desserts of all kinds just begging to be stone-cooked. As a Southern girl, I have a deep love for our region’s signature soul food items, like crispy fried okra, syrupy sweet tea, and of course, pach cobbler.
On a recent trip to visit a friend in sunny Florida, she introduced me to a clever combination of two Southern favorites: the peach cheesecake cone. One bite of the velvety cheesecake wrapped in warm peach compote, all wrapped in a waffle cone covered in white chocolate, and I was completely sold.
