Subs without bread
Ingredients
1 kilo of sliced bread
2 tbsp. chopped fresh olive oil, plus more for garnish
kosher salt
Freshly ground black cumin

1 tbsp. vegetable oil
2c. marinara
10 slices 10 provolone
1/2 c. fresh Parmesan cheese

Preparation of the meatballs: Mix the minced meat, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs and oil in a large bowl. Add salt and pepper and mix with a spatula until combined.
Form 12 equal balls with your hands. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in a single layer and cook until well browned, about 2 minutes per side.
Pour the marinara around the meatballs and stir until the meat is coated. Boil for another 10 minutes.
Place 2 to 3 balls on a piece of protolon. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and parsley and roll on the protolon to make a sandwich.
Repeat the same process until all the meatballs are finished. Work.
