Watermelon Ginger Lime Cooler

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2-3 limes)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • 2 cups cold water or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime slices and mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Blend the Watermelon:
    • Place the cubed watermelon in a blender and blend until smooth. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your blender.
  2. Strain the Juice:
    • Pour the blended watermelon through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large pitcher to remove the pulp. Use a spoon to press the juice through if necessary.
  3. Add Ginger and Lime:
    • Stir in the grated ginger and fresh lime juice. Adjust the amount of ginger based on your preference for spiciness.
  4. Sweeten (Optional):
    • If you prefer a sweeter drink, add honey or agave syrup to taste. Stir until fully dissolved.
  5. Add Water:
    • Pour in the cold water or sparkling water and stir to combine. If you want a fizzier drink, use sparkling water.
  6. Serve:
    • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the watermelon ginger lime cooler over the ice. Garnish with lime slices and mint leaves if desired.
